Great expectations through the fashion world- add face chart

Valentino Couture 

This beautiful design from Valentino known as the 'white collection' an all-white lineup stitched with a trademark “V” on lapels and pockets that included the wedding dress worn by Jackie Kennedy when she married Aristotle Onassis what I have also noticed is the slick back hair style and minimalist makeup with a center parten  which is very true to the era Great expectations was based in.  Aspects of this dress reminds me of a modern version of Mrs Havishams wedding dress from various reconstructions of Great expectations.
For example the ruffles on the arms, Valentinos is more of a structured simple ruffle and stops shorter up the arm where as 'Mrs Havishams' Is a bigger ruffle that doesn't conjoin together as neatly but there is a similarity. 

The neck line in this has the similarities although the Mrs Havisham version goes out and is more going on with in it the Valentino version still has  the height of the neck line and the arms of the dress still incorporates the puffiness.










Although the mrs havisham trend has been slated in some articals

although I can see where the message is coming from I don't see the issue with in taking inspiration from great expectations as it is a classic and I personally don't think the dress is a fashion flop I don't practically  like the styling I feel the hair takes to much distraction from the main look. and doesn't add a lot too the feel of the style.

Overall I love Valentinos look I feel that its a modern twist of a classic design Heres a face chart I designed that I feel would go well with the look to add to the high fashion feel.
